Masked 2D Sculptures with a single discharge layer

These specimens were masked on one side and then
irradiated through the mask to create single-layer discharges only is certain regions.
Some specimens also show a bit of radiation fogging that further enhances the
"spiral galaxy" effect. All sculptures are shown in custom walnut light bases with white
LED's. Bases are also available with Electric Blue LED's or with two multi-color color-changing LED options (please inquire). Newer sculptures may show slight yellow-green fluorescence when illuminated by Electric Blue LED's. Base power options include US, UK, EC,
and Australian. |

Masked 3D Specimens with TWO discharge layers
These specimens were masked on BOTH sides and then
irradiated
once on each side. This created two independent discharge layers that
were also linked
from one layer to the other. This creates a very unique, complex 3D
"ripples in a pond"
pattern as the discharges propagate outward from the center. Discharges
propagate outward while also going back and forth between rings in the
top and bottom discharge layers. The two discharge layers are separated
by about 1/2", and each layer is
about 1/4" below the outer surface. Photos simply cannot do these
specimens justice - they are truly unique and are, quite frankly, some
of the most spectacular specimens we've ever created! We're looking at
ways to display these using either a pair of 3D images or a short video
clip. This is the first time that these have been offered, and they will
disappear quickly!
Sculptures are shown in custom walnut light bases with white
