We have a limited number of specimens that are less than perfect, are one-of-a-kind or experimental specimens, or are leftover specimens of styles that have been discontinued. Some may have small dings along an edge that can often be lightly sanded and polished to remove. Some have a small (1/2" max, many 1/4" or less) fracture in the area where the discharge exits the sculpture. These defects can often be hidden by simply inserting the specimens into one of our lighted bases. Others may have heavier discharges near the main discharge "stems" that are slightly charred from the passage of high discharge current. Although this makes these specimens somewhat less attractive when not illuminated, these sculptures are often more fascinating than our regular ones since they typically contain very unique patterns and a combination of chaotic or densely dendritic ("moss agate") discharges. They are especially attractive when illuminated by bright LED's, as the light is reflected and refracted off the conchoidal fractures that make up the pattern. The thickest discharges almost look crystalline. For specimens with multiple charge layers, beautiful star burst (or snowflake-like) discharges may also occur. For example, see "Heavy Weather" specimens (such as Styles 16, 24, or 25), where a combination of "snowflake" and chaotic discharges often occur. Others merely need a bit of loving care, elbow grease, and some Novus Plastic Polish to bring them back to their full beauty. Periodically, we may also list some specimens from experiments that we've conducted over the years.

These specimens are priced at 50% of their more perfect counterparts. Not all of our sculpture styles have "seconds", and many styles may only have a few specimens. Currently available "factory seconds" are shown below. Please remember that we may only have a few specimens in any given style. 	Style 7: 6 x 6 x 3/4 inch Factory 2nd 6" x 6" x 3/4", Mostly "light" dendritic discharges that may not completely fill the area, and a few chaotic and densely dendritic discharges from one or more discharge points on the interior or edges. Some may have some light charring that virtually disappears when the specimen is illuminated from an LED light base. A few may have saw-cut edges instead of polished edges. Six inch wide matching walnut light bases in either white or blue LED's or brushed black anodized aluminum can be ordered separately. 	Style 8: 6 x 6 x 3/4 inch beveled Factory 2nd and optional GSB1906L Lighted Base 6" x 6" x 3/4" beveled panel with a combination of chaotic and densely dendritic discharges from one or more discharge points. These specimens discharged as they were being irradiated, causing very dramatic, densely dendritic and sometimes partially chaotic patterns, often with some darkening along the major discharge paths. Some may have lighter than normal discharges. All look beautiful when illuminated from below from an LED light base. Because of the beveled edges, Style 8 figures requires a special lighted base (Model GSB1906L). This base can be ordered with US, EC, UK, or Australian power options. NOTE: Very few in stock! 	Style 9/9A: 4 x 6 x 1/2 inch Factory 2nd Nice size for display. 4" x 6" x 1/2" panel, with a variety of discharges. Most of these specimens have a small chip or fracture at the base of the discharge. This is usually small enough to be mostly, or completely, hidden when the specimen is inserted into our standard LM2750 gloss rosewood or black light bases. We have a couple of specimens with one or more interior self-discharges, and a few others that may have small scratches that can be buffed out with a little plastic polish and some manual effort. Please specify a discharge preference and we will try to locate one that's close. A few specimens have matte finished edges instead of polished edges. These can be easily brought to a high-gloss finish with a little plastic polish and a bit of elbow grease.	$42.50 plus $6.00 for S&H
	Style 10: 6 x 8 x 3/4 inch Factory 2nd - only a couple left! 6" x 8" x 3/4", with either self-discharged interior dendritic discharge or edge discharge. The charring disappears when the specimens are illuminated from below by one of our LED light bases - these make stunning illuminated specimens! These sculptures still look gorgeous when illuminated from below by one of our custom walnut LED light bases. 	Style 22: 3 inch Lightning Cube Factory 2nd   3" Lightning Cube, in a variety of discharges. Some have self-discharged, creating a complex combination of dendritic and chaotic discharges, while others have only discharged along four sides instead of all six, cause a lightning tunnel effect (as seen in the image to the left). 	Style 24: 4 x 4 x 2 inch Jewel Factory 2nd   4" x 4" x 2" Lightning Jewel. All have Heavy Weather discharges with some charring of heavier paths. 	Style 47: 2.5 inch Ball Lightning Factory 2nd 2.5" Diameter Ball Lightning Sphere. These specimens self-discharged as they were being irradiated, and show some charring on the heavier paths near the exit point. However, the charring virtually disappears when illuminated from below with an LED light base, such as our LM2690 series base. 	Custom 18" x 18" x 1" sculpture - a STEAL! This magnificent specimen was created as an experiment a couple of years ago. No lighted base is available for it, but we can provide LED strips and power adapters if you'd like to make your own custom frame or base. This one-of-a-kind specimen is priced to move quickly, since we need to free up storage space. The heavier channels are a bit discolored from high discharge currents and they are sparkly, almost appearing crystalline. This specimen shows very complex combination of dendritic and chaotic patterns and is simply magnificent when edge-illuminated by LED's.
