specimens. Some specimens discharged as they were being irradiated,
causing very
dense dendritic and chaotic patterns, sometimes with some
charring along the main (heavier) discharge paths. Others have a lighter
(more faint) discharge than normal, but still look nice when
illuminated by LED's. And, a few have an extra divot or
two where the specimen failed to discharge during the first attempt(s).
All specimens look beautiful
when illuminated from below by an LED lighted base. See Style 4

Large 6" x 6" x 3/4" specimens. These are either "lighter" dendritic
discharges that may only fill 50 - 75% of the area, or a mix of chaotic
and densely
dendritic discharges from one or more discharge points on the interior
or edges. The latter specimens may have some charring along the heavier
paths. However, this virtually disappears
when the specimen is illuminated from one of our LED light bases. Some
have
saw-cut
edges instead of polished edges that can easily be sanded to a matte
finish by the customer. Other specimens may have more than one edge
"dings" (attempted discharge
points where the specimen failed to discharge). Six
inch wide matching
walnut light bases in either white or blue LED's or brushed black

Style 30: 3.0 inch Ball Lightning

Diameter Ball Lightning Sphere. These particular specimens were charged
with a bit less electrical charge, resulting in "lighter" discharges. A
few may have mixed chaotic and dendritic discharges. Most
have discharges that may only cover about half of the specimen. However,
they are still quite nice specimens, at half the regular price. Each
comes with a free ring to support it and keep it from rolling. Please Note:
Placing these in direct sunlight is NOT recommended. Nearby object may
be damaged or burned by focused sunlight. See Style 30 description
in Gallery 2 for recommended light bases.

Style 53: 2 x 6 Inch Cylinders

These sculptures were created
by rotating them while they were being irradiated. Unfortunately, some
did not rotate a full 360 degrees due to a problem with the rotating
device. As a result, most of our factory 2nd's have a semicircular shape
(half-moon or somewhat more) discharge instead of a full cylindrical
discharge. They look similar to our Style 13
cylinders, but they are considerably larger and much more impressive.
Cylinders may be either cast or extruded material. The image to
the left shows a specimen illuminated from below via a BD752MC battery-powered color-changing base. These sculptures also look beautiful with a number of other light bases, such as the CR35MC, ROT45MC, or BD753MC multicolor bases, or LM2690 or LM2692 white LED bases. |

Exp4: Experimental 2" x 1.81" Cylinders
These specimens were done as an experiment during our 4Q2011 run. We do
not plan to
carry these as a standard item They are cute little 2 inch diameter
cylinders that are slightly longer than 1 3/4" high with matte-finished
ends. A bit of Novus #2 or #3 polish and some elbow grease will give you
highly polished ends. All specimens were irradiated on two sides to
create a beautiful 3D discharge inside. Some were irradiated on the
curved surfaces, while others on the flat ends. The image shows a
variety of discharges that are available. In the picture, these were illuminated from the sides via blue LED's in a special light
box. A number of our lighted bases such as the CR35MC, ROT45MC, BD752MC, or BD753MC multicolor light bases or the LM2690 or LM2692 white LED light bases will work nicely with these.
We have a limited stock of these and they are priced to move quickly.

experiment, so when these are gone they're gone for good. They are 1.5
inch diameter
cast acrylic cylinders that are 6 inches long with polished ends, with
curved interior discharges on one side. All
remaining specimens have self-discharged at one or more points along the
curved surface, and all show a bit of charring along the heavier
discharge paths. However, this disappears when the sculpture
is illuminated from the ends or side. The specimens shown on the left were illuminated from the sides via blue LED's in a special light
box. A number of our lighted bases work quite well with these, including the CR35MC, ROT45MC, BD752MC, or BD753MC multicolor light bases, or the LM2690 or LM2692 white LED light bases.

the CNC laser that was used to cut them out). Most specimens have

dendritic discharges or mostly chaotic discharges. The specimens in the

at a very attractively price - ideal as stocking stuffers or as small

Style 69A 2" x 3/8" Disks
All of the small 1/4" thick specimens (the top three rows in the image) are sold

69 disks above except that they are a bit thinner and have a frosted (router-cut) edge
instead of a flame-polished edge. These have either an edge or interior
discharge, and most show a
variety of branching (dendritic)

and white LED's using a special light
box so that we could quickly show them. These are nice-sized specimens
